There is a distinct, undeniable energy to the Coast Mountains and rainforests of British Columbia. It’s in the cold, crisp light moving across a high alpine ridge near Duffey Lake, the quiet stillness of old-growth coastal timber on Quadra Island, or the vast, glaciated terrain of the Garibaldi Neve Traverse.

When you spend real time in these places, they don’t just stay behind in your camera roll. They become a part of how you ground yourself.
As a fine art landscape photographer based here in Whistler, my goal is simple: capture the scale, stillness, and mood of these wild spaces and turn them into archival pieces that hold a room together. Recently, three of my prints made their way across the continent to two very different New York destinations—two custom-framed pieces for a quiet getaway in Upstate New York, and a 24x48 panoramic metal print for a residence in Manhattan.
While the homes and aesthetics were entirely different, both collectors were looking for the same thing: bringing the grounding energy and scale of West Coast wilderness into their everyday living spaces on the Eastern Seaboard.
The Destination: Upstate New York
The Client: A Canadian expat building a peaceful retreat away from the city
The Artwork: Wendy Thompson Wonderland & Gulf Island Road Trip
When decorating a country home in Upstate New York, the client wanted to bring a piece of home back into their space. We selected two complementary images that show two completely different sides of British Columbia’s landscape:

Captured high in the backcountry near Duffey Lake Road, this print is all about expansive alpine scale—fresh snow, crisp light, and open mountain terrain.
To keep the presentation light and focused purely on the mountain light, we finished the 36” x 54” piece in a clean white frame. Mounted as a naked print with a matte protective UV coating (no glass, no plexi reflections), it brings a bright, gallery-style feel to the room while keeping the focus entirely on the texture of the snow and sky.

To balance the cool, vast tones of the alpine peak, the client chose Gulf Island Road Trip—a photograph captured amidst the lush, old-growth rainforest trees of Quadra Island.
This 30” x 45” piece was paired with a natural wood frame. The organic grain of the wood bridges the gap between the forest scene and the warm architectural elements of the home, bringing a warm, tactile grounding to the room.
Together, the white-framed alpine wonderland and the natural wood-framed rainforest piece give the home a complete visual anchor—bringing the high country and the coastal woods together under one roof.
These pieces were professionally crated and coordinated end-to-end to ensure seamless, secure delivery to the client's residence.
The Destination: Upper Manhattan, New York City
The Artwork: On Route to Garibaldi (from the Neve Traverse series)

Format: 24" x 48" ChromaLuxe Metal Print
Living in Manhattan means constant movement and high energy. Home needs to be a sanctuary, and nothing opens up a living space like a wide, expansive mountain horizon.
For this installation, the collector selected On Route to Garibaldi, a sweeping panoramic capture taken during the multi-day Garibaldi Neve Traverse ski journey.

A large-format fine art photograph should do more than just fill an empty wall—it should set the atmosphere for the entire space. Over years of working with collectors and designers, I’ve found that matching the finish to your home’s architecture is just as important as choosing the image itself:

You don't need to live in Whistler or British Columbia to bring these pieces into your home. We regularly pack, crate, and ship limited-edition prints to collectors across North America and internationally.
Whether delivering direct-to-door in heavy-duty wooden crates or coordinating white-glove art handlers and local installation partners in major cities like New York, every piece arrives fully insured and ready for the wall.
For interior designers, architects, and homeowners planning a major installation, we frequently create digital in-room mockups. Simply send over a quick wall measurement and a photo of your room, and we can overlay the exact print, scale, and frame style to help you visualize the finished space before making a final decision.

Yes, absolutely. We ship limited-edition custom-framed works, and ChromaLuxe aluminum panels directly to clients across Canada, the United States, and worldwide. All shipments are custom packaged and fully insured from our door to yours.
Standard glass and plexiglass create distracting glare. By dry-mounting archival prints to a rigid substrate and applying a protective, non-reflective UV coating, the print remains protected while offering a naked, tactile, museum-grade viewing experience where you see the artwork—not reflections.
Custom wood or white frames offer a classic, organic, gallery-style look that pairs beautifully with traditional or transitional architecture. ChromaLuxe metal prints infuse dyes directly into aluminum panels, offering a sleek, frameless, float-mounted modern look that is scratch-resistant, durable, and highly luminous.

Start by measuring your available wall space and considering surrounding furniture like sofas, mantels, or dining tables. A panoramic print generally works best when it spans roughly 60% to 75% of the furniture piece below it. If you send us a photo of your room with basic measurements, we will build a scaled digital mockup to show you exactly how different sizes look in your space.
Yes. We are ready to collaborate with interior designers, architects, and art consultants sourcing artwork for high-end residential and commercial projects. Whether you are outfitting a luxury apartment in Manhattan, a townhouse in Upper East Side, Tribeca, SoHo, or West Village, a loft in DUMBO, or a country estate in Millbrook, Hudson, Bedford, or the Hamptons, we provide trade pricing, custom dimensions, digital mockups for client presentations, and turnkey shipping or local white-glove installation coordination.
Whether you’re keeping a connection to a place you used to call home or bringing the calm, vast energy of the Coast Mountains into an urban sanctuary, fine art photography allows you to live with the wild spaces that inspire you most.
