"Ascending, descending, and taking it all in. The perfect flow of effort and reward, silence and stoke."
Have you ever wanted to explore the vast Coast Mountains of British Columbia, Canada? In this three-day adventure exploring the Cerise Creek Basin of the Duffey Lake, I captured some new limited edition fine art prints of my travels. Exploring the mountains by foot, I am always reminded of the pure bliss that awaits in the backcountry.
Ascending, descending, and taking it all in. The perfect flow of effort and reward, silence and stoke.
I am grateful for the opportunity to capture these scenes immersed in nature and to be able to share them for visual inspiration and hopefully inspire others to get out and explore our endless Coast Mountains. Imagine you’re trailing down the breathtaking landscapes, getting stoked to shred fresh powder with stunning views for days. Needless to say, we had an amazing time!
These photos are meant to get lost in. To breathe in the wide-open expanses and remind us of nature’s vast expanse, and the limitless possibilities for ourselves. Skiing in the backcountry is one of my greatest loves, these adventures capture so much more than the landscape or the subjects in them - but the overall joy of the journey.
The next photos are some of my favourite shots from this trip now available as limited-edition fine art prints. One is of the passing storm transitioning to sun over Joffre Peak.
The next captures that perfect turn we all seek, lost in the moment, fully present making fresh lines in the landscape before us.
Backcountry landscape and adventure photography is the perfect addition to a home office, retail space, or den - anywhere you need a little extra motivation! There’s a magnificence to photos captured traversing the backcountry. Experience for yourself with one of the prints in the Mike Crane Gallery.
I am ultimately blessed to be able to enjoy nature while giving back! For every sale, we will donate a percentage to The Nature Conservancy of Canada.
